Schools taking part

It’s wonderful to have the image on the bag designed by local children, and we’ve so far held competitions to produce artwork for the Notting Hill Shopping Bag at  Colville Primary School and Bevington School.

Each school is given a theme and there are currently art competitions taking place at Middle Row School and Oxford Gardens.

The children at Middle Row School are producing a ‘Trellick Tower’ themed bag. The Trellick Tower is Britain’s tallest residential building and it dominates the skyline at Goldbourne Road.

The children at Oxford Garden’s school are producing a ‘fruit and vegetable’ themed bag. They are placing special emphasis on ‘carrots’ in order to tie in with Portobello Road Market’s ‘Festival of Roots’ which will be held early next year.

We can’t wait to see their artwork, and a huge thanks to the heads of art at both schools for allowing their pupils to take part in the competition!
