Notting Hill is one of the world’s most iconic neighbourhoods – known for its market, its carnival, its antiques, its magnolia trees, and of course the famous film starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts.
We created the Notting Hill Shopping Bag so you can carry a little piece of this place with you every day.
The Notting Hill Shopping Bag was designed in 2009 by local resident, entrepreneur and presenter Tash Courtenay-Smith, who set out to make a stylish, reusable alternative to plastic bags, something practical, long-lasting and instantly recognisable, especially for the visitors to her local neighbourhood.
In 2017, the business was acquired by Canpolat An, who has grown the retail and wholesale side of the business from our base on Portobello Road.
Today, Tash remains Head of Brand, shaping the design, content, and storytelling that keeps the bag iconic.
Together we’ve built one of London’s most recognisable souvenir fashion brands, proudly carried by locals, visitors, and fans worldwide.
